The 2025 Escape can be equipped with one of two available powerplants. Most trim grades use a turbocharged 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine making 180 horsepower. ST-branded Escape models use a turbocharged 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine producing 250 horsepower. Both outperform the lone Equinox engine, making 175 horsepower

Even with the clear advantage in performance, the current Ford Escape offers better fuel consumption scores than its Chevrolet rival.
