The 2025 model of the Explorer and Acadia have very similar base engines. Ford Explorer owners can start with a turbocharged 2.3-litre, four-cylinder engine making 300 horsepower. However, a turbocharged 3.0-litre, V-6 making 400 horsepower can also be equipped with the current Explorer. All Acadia models use a turbocharged 2.5-litre, four-cylinder making 328 horsepower.
Towing Capacity
Even with the various differences in available powertrain equipment offered by the 2025 Explorer and Acadia models, both have the same towing capacity ratings of 2,268 kilograms. A Class III towing package is equipped with every 2025 Explorer available at Southlake Ford.
